About

Clostridioides difficile (C. difficile) is a Gram-positive, anaerobic pathogenic strain. C. difficile infection (CDI) has been the most common hospital acquired infections, with high rate of antibiotic resistance and recurrence incidences (rCDI), became a debilitating public health threat, with no successful preventive and treatment options. Wanglab focuses on bacterial infections especially CDI/rCDI studies by: 1. discovering CDI pathogenesis through Genetic engineering tools; 2. improving gut microbiota through gut microbiota modulators; 3. developing new strategies for CDI/rCDI therapy; 4. Other gut health related studies.
