The International Task Force on Head Impacts and Trauma in Stunts, or HITS Task Force, was established by Dr. Jeff Russell as a group of stunt performers, researchers, healthcare professionals, and advocates devoted to ensuring that stunt performers in film, television, and live performance can work in safe environments and have adequate access to healthcare in when they experience head injuries.
The Task Force is based at Ohio University, but has members from a variety of professions, organizations, and countries. Through research, education, and advocacy, the HITS Task Force strives to promote head safety and appropriate healthcare for head trauma in all venues where stunt performers work across the globe.
